Really selfless and charitable...right?? :)
Carter's
The best baby brand.
Affordable, well-made (your baby grows out of clothes so quickly, anyway) and oh so cute. Perfect for skinny babies, as their clothes are cut super slim.
They use bright colors and patterns, with modern animal graphics and well-placed stripes. Easy to mix and match. Great PJ sets and one-pieces. The softest cotton pants and bodysuits for your roly-poly, floppy newborns.
Meijer, Kohls, Macy's, Babies R' Us - you can find a limited supply of Carters here, but for the best selection their branch stores and outlets are a Must See.

Online shopping is heavenly
when you become a new mom.
GAP and Old Navy
I prefer GAP and Old Navy as a toddler brand - their clothes look so much cuter as your little one gets into the "walking stage."
GAP is pricey if you buy directly from the main store/website; their outlets are definitely the way to go. Baby clothes trends really don't change much from year to year, so you really can't tell the difference between this season and last. Don't buy GAP full price!
(GAP runs larger than Old Navy, and the waist on their pants is fairly wide. Aiden can't wear them! Steer clear if you have a skinny baby)
Old Navy has much more reasonable prices, and their outlet store in Traverse City carries this season merchandise. I tend to "window shop" online, then find the really thing in the store. The BEST sweatpants and jeans, and they always have an extensive selection of basic (and graphic) tees.
Almost everything from GAP is adorable, literally, so here are a few good buys from Old Navy:

No carrying the car seat while it bangs into your arm,
No crying baby,
No feeding in public, and absolutely
No makeup necessary.

Just you, your sweats and your couch. *sigh*....
